Puppy School is a UK network of training classes for young puppies, founded by the renown author of "The Perfect Puppy" Gwen Bailey. I am proud that I am the Official Puppy School Tutor for North Devon. To find out more about Puppy School please visit the website www.puppyschool.co.uk

At our Puppy training Classes we only use kind, effective techniques to ensure puppies are "educated" to have good manners, be friendly with adults, childrena nd other dogs, and to repond to commands.

Puppy School consists of six puppy training classes for puppies under 20 weeks that each last for 50 minutes. The comprehensive programme has been carefully designed to take you through all the obedience basics giving you a good foundation for life with your new puppy or for any dog training sport you choose to do later. The puppy training exercises gradually progress from easy to more complex, building on your puppy's understanding each week

If your puppy is too old for Puppy School, (over 20 weeks) we have an alternative Puppy training course available, please refer to Paws Control Puppy Plus Classes. Puppy Plus

During Puppy School you and your puppy will learn ::

Monday 13th August at 6.00pm - Barnstaple,

Sunday 26th August at 3.30pm - West Down Parish Hall, West Down, Ilfracombe

Thursday 6th September at 6.45pm - Torbridge Vets, South Molton

Sessions usually have between 6 - 8 puppiess and last 50 minutes each. The full cost of the course is £67.00 which includes all six sessions, unlimited support throughout the course, weekly handouts and a rosette and certificate on completion.

At all our Puppy School venues we have a secure indoor space to ensure that you and puppy are in the best environment for learning that is calm abd relaxed. We are also lucky to have the facilities, that weather permitting, we can transfer some of the exercises outside for real life practise.

We do like to try to include some Puppy Play. Puppies will be able to play in carefully controlled small groups to ensure they learn good manners around other puppies, do not get scared, and do not learn to play roughly or aggressively. We ensure that all puppies are matched for size, age, and experience, and play will be carefully supervised to ensure that all puppies learn to be confident with others.

Please note that, in some classes, the mix of puppies may make it impossible to conduct puppy play sessions safely. Puppy play sessions will only be offered if they can be run without causing harm
